It's a fight for survival! It's a battle against the odds to get across the river infested with crocodiles. You will be given a limited amount of objects to get across the river, will this items be enough?. Is your team strong enough to survive? Or is it dinner time for the croc's?!!

Sheep Trials

Have you always thought sheep were something kind of special? Well, here is your chance to get closer to the big white fluffy balls of wool! Here is the idea, you are either a sheep or a dog. Sound bizarre? Wait until you actually do the activity... blind folded! Guide your sheep by giving them a signal, try it, it is a very popular game in Wales!

Tepee Building

Here you will learn how to build an Indian Reservation in one easy lesson. Tribal teams will be given certain items and material to construct an Indian Tepee, complete with your own artwork designs. Beaumaris Jail

The teachers have got you, just where they want you and not in the library - but in Beaumaris Jail! Will you have free run, or will those chains be holding you down? You hate those early morning detentions, don't you? Well here is your chance to get your own back on the teachers, lock them in the cells and throw away the key! While you are there, it's not all about getting even, you will be given a talk, while filling in worksheets, as you traipse around with a ball and a chain around your ankles.

Survival Kit

Will you be rubbing noses with an Eskimo in the Arctic, exploring the jungle with the Lion King and fiends? The aim of this exercise is to survive, against all the odds. To tackle these problems, you will be put in groups of four or five, you and your team will have to choose what items you would take to survive. Will they work? Can you survive? Or will your group be one man down? [Beaumaris Castle Moat]

Medieval Castle Visits

This is your opportunity to improve your knowledge on History. Two coaches will visit Conway Castle, while the other two will go to Beaumaris. Conway is an excellent example of a medieval walled town, while Beaumaris boasts what is regarded as the best example of a concentric castle defence (walls within walls, including a moat).

Outdoor Pursuits

You will be taking part in water based or land based Outdoor Pursuits, such as canoeing, abseiling, or the Rock Wall. We will be there (the Sixth Form Newshounds) to see you in action, who knows, by the end of it all you could be good enough to challenge the Gladiators!!

We, the Daily Menai Newshounds, will be working along side you to report on your activities each day. Make sure you are ready to have a great time and see you there!
